National Nursing Home

During National Nursing Home Week 2016 our 4th Grade Little Friends came for a picnic lunch with their friends at the Nursing Home and Westside Assisted Living Suites. During this time Katie Kampman , daughter of Matt and Mandy Kampman won $ 50 for an essay she wrote about being a 4th Grade Little Friend this past year. This monetary award came from the family of Velma Wilken a past resident at CNH, and the award has been an annual one from the family in her honor.
In the picture below is Vicki Miller 4th Grade teacher, Katie Kampman and Dawn Peters , Velma Wilken’s granddaughter who comes each year to give the award . Each month during the school year the 4th grade come and spend some time with their Senior Friends .

Stephanie Schmadeke

Stephanie Schmadeke, 2016 graduating senior of Clarksville High School, was chosen as the recipient of the Clarksville Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Scholarship.  This scholarship is available to Clarksville High School students who are planning a career in nursing and are enrolled in an accredited nursing education program that will prepare the student to test for either an LPN or RN license.

Stephanie was presented with a stethoscope and blood pressure cuff by Clarksville Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Director of Nursing, Laura Skillen, on April 27, 2016.  Congratulations Stephanie!!

National Nursing Home Week

National Nursing Home Week May 9-14th
Once a year, always beginning on Mother’s Day, care centers nationwide take pride in publicly honoring the indomitable spirit of residents and recognizing staff who face each day with a sense of purpose and compassion.
We have many things going on for residents, family and
staff to partake in such as:
Saturday– Ladies Day Tea will kick off the week
Soft serve ice-cream all week
Monday – Brunch & Western Day with Cowboy Jim
Tuesday- North Star and Rock & Roll Day
Wednesday- 4th Grade Little Friends Picnic
Thursday– It’s a Small World with Lola Clark
Friday– Pete n Shorty’s @ the nursing home for lunch!

Clarksville Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center’s2016 Easter Egg Hunt

Well the Clarksville Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt was a great success. In our pictures we have Lois Seely and Terry Roose our Easter Bunny along with some kids from grades 2nd and 3rd, we had about 90 kids total.

Thanks to all the participants who attended as well all the staff that were able to help at this years event.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt

 

Annual Easter Egg Hunt
This year’s Easter Egg Hunt will be held on
Saturday March 26, 2016 .
All are welcome to join the “hunt” from infants up to 3rd grade. Snacks will be provided which will include:
Cookies, Soft Serve Ice Cream and Juice.
We will be having a special visit from the
Easter Bunny.
Meet up on the CNH Front Porch at 2:00
Refreshments to follow in the garage.

Come and find the “ lucky “ EGGS!!!!

Managed Care Organizations (MCO)

With the on-going changes in healthcare, please view the following website resources regarding Managed Care Organizations (MCO). Medicaid members and their families are currently considering which MCO health plan to choose, the Department of Human Services has provided two comparison charts/ references available to family members to help with their decision making process. Medicaid members have through March 18th, 2016 to change their selection, but a selection can be made now (through December 17th, 2015) to get started with an MCO effective March 1st, 2016.

Christmas Dinner & Program

The 2015 Resident and Family Christmas Dinner and Program will be held Tuesday December 22nd at 11:30 which includes a “sit-down” dinner. Residents and Tenants are strongly encouraged to invite their family member(s) to join. If you are able to join as a family member and/or friend of current resident or tenant, please feel free to contact the Business Office. The holiday season is here, please take time out of your busy schedule to spend time with your loved ones.
