Director of Nursing

  • Fulltime
  • Responsible for the 24-hour day to day operation of the Nursing Department.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Ability to effectively plan, direct and coordinate nursing services.
  2. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals.
  3. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  4. Ability to work with and train staff on nursing and care issues as well as systems and policy compliance.
  5. Ability to utilize and manage resources to attain results.
  6. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist.
  7. Ability to understand and appreciate different and opposing perspectives, to adapt own approach to changing situations and to change or easily accept changes in own organization or job requirements.
  8. Work and communicate with internal and external clients and customers to meet their needs in a polite, courteous and cooperative manner.
  9. Commit to quality service.

Education and Licensure Requirements: Registered Nurse graduate from an accredited school of nursing is required. BSN preferred, but not required. Current licensure as an RN in the State of Iowa by the Iowa Board of Nursing, without restrictions, is required. Current CPR certification required. Prior management experience required. Dietary Cook - Weekend Package Opportunity:

  • Saturday and Sunday - 12-hour shifts
  • Starting Wage over $19/hr


Dietary Dish - PM Shift 4:45pm-7:15pm:

Dietary Manager/ Food and Nutritional Supervisor:

  • 32+ hours a week and benefit eligible!

The dietary manager implements dietary and food service policies and procedures to meet residents' needs and ensure compliance with federal, state and local requirements while supervising food service for residents, employees, and visitors.

Responsibilities include reviewing menus and supervising the handling, preparation, and storage of food, overseeing equipment maintenance and kitchen sanitation and assigning work schedules for food services staff.

Requires an Iowa certification as a Qualified Dietary Supervisor.

Dietary Aide:

  • 5:30am-12:30pm and every other weekend/holiday

The certified nursing assistant is responsible for assisting with resident care within their scope of practice as well as other work which supports the residents’ environment and home. The certified nursing assistant assists to ensure optimal resident care is provided. The certified nursing assistant assists the team to provide and maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for residents and tenants. Tasks include components of direct patient care, nutrition, observation, documentation, general maintenance of the residents’ environment, assuring resident safety and duties not specifically listed but logical to the position as directed by the supervisor.

Not Certified, NO problem? Nursing Assistant opportunities are also available with immediate on-site training and requirement to complete the certification course at a later date. Please contact Shawn Pierce, RN, DON for more information.


RN/LPN:

  • Fulltime 2nd shift and PRN for all shifts

As the nurse, you will assist in the supervision and administration of quality nursing care for the facility. Furthermore, you will assist in maintaining a physical, social, and psychological environment which will be conducive to the best interest and welfare of the residents and tenants.

Required Active Iowa Board of Nursing License.


Activity Assistant: PRN

Assists with activities for all residents/ tenants and maintains records of activities.
Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
  • Flexible Availability- days and evenings

Environmental Services- Hospitality Specialist: Full Time

  • Housekeeping and Laundry tasks and duties.
  • 1st shift hours (starting shift at 6am), every other weekend and every other holiday.

Assisted Living-

  • Morning Breakfast Cook- Low schedule to Part-time

PM Shift- Universal Worker/CMA- PRN to Low Schedule

Qualifications:

  • Employment standards are consistent with EEOC for all people applying for or holding this position.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Requirements: Minimum of 18 years of age and successful completion of a Certificated Medication Management course or a Medication Manager Certificate.
