Community Home Meals
Are you looking for a way to give back to your community and doesn’t require a lot of time? Look no further.
Clarksville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is currently seeking volunteers to assist in our meal delivery program. Our current program is supported by an army of volunteers from churches to community individuals and business staff. In addition to a warm well-balanced meal this program offers a safety check that helps our elders and those with disabilities live a safe, healthy and supportive independence. The meal delivery program is offered 7 days a week except for the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas day. Each day of the week meals are delivered right to the doors of our elders and those with disabilities between 11am and Noon. Our Community Home Meals Program is available for residents of the Clarksville Community.
What is "Community Home Meals"?
Community Home Meals is a home delivery meal service provided by the Clarksville Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Who is eligible?
Senior citizens and adults with special needs who are living in Clarksville city limits.
How can I receive a meal?
If you are interested in participating in this program, please EMAIL or call the CSN & RC at 319-278-4900. After the short phone conversation to gather your information meal service can begin.
What are the meals like?
Each meal has, on average, 900 calories, low sodium and provides 40 – 50% of the recommended daily requirements of vitamins and minerals. A menu for the upcoming week is printed in the Clarksville Star or you can follow the Meals link on the CSN & RC page.
Who delivers the meals?
Each day of the week meals are delivered right to your door by Clarksville area volunteers, between 11am and noon. Meals are delivered seven days a week except for the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas day.
PLEASE NOTE: If the Clarksville Community Schools are cancelled due to inclement weather, there will be no meal delivery.
